Ice Age 4 Reel

Took me long enough, but I finally cut together my Ice Age: Continental Drift animation reel!

I had an absolute blast animating on this film, and I can't speak highly enough of the experience. Hopefully audiences had as much fun watching it as we did working on it!

I Love My Job

The amazingly talented Louaye Moulayess made this incredible video for the animation department at Blue Sky... here are just a few of our awesome memories from 2012!

I still get chills when I watch it.

Blue Sky's Robot Unicorn Tourny!

Or as we fondly referred to it...
The Robot Unicorn 2012-13 International Tournament of Champions!

Couldn't quite bring it home in the finals, but I enjoyed my run. It was Jeff Gabor who ultimately took home the hardware, and some beautiful hardware at that - a stunning gold statuette of a rearing unicorn in all of its primal glory!

An Ice Age Christmas Reel

Here are a handful of shots I animated for the "Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas" special that aired Thanksgiving night on Fox. I had a lot of fun working on this show, and I hope everyone who had a chance to see it enjoyed it too!

Also, a HUGE congrats to the Reel FX crew for their Academy Award shortlisted Looney Tunes short "I Tawt I Taw a Puddy Tat"! Way to go, peeps!

Updated Website

Still my old demo reel (which I hope to update soon), but I thought in the meantime I'd give my site an interface-lift. Feel free to take a look!

A New Adventure

Well... I haven't updated this thing in a long time and A LOT has happened since my last post. It's been a fun and rewarding year in Texas, but I'm excited to say that I'm officially back home in the northeast - this time as an animator at Blue Sky Studios!

I just finished up my first week and I'm really enjoying it. The projects in development here are looking incredible, and I'm thrilled to be working alongside such friendly, talented people.

At the same time, I'm sad to leave so many of my friends from Reel FX, and I will definitely miss seeing their lovely faces everyday. But I know they're all going to do some awesome things in the coming months and years and I can't wait to see what they produce next!

Apprenticeship Archives, Vol. I

Now that the latest (and final?) installment of Open Season has made its way onto DVD, I can finally post some of my related work from the RFXU apprenticeship.

This was my very first test shot, taken from a sequence in the movie. I hadn't seen the same shot in context until the screening this past Thursday, so it was cool being able to compare and contrast my take with the actual version.

And here are a few of the shots I did (my very fist production shots, not including cleanup work for OS3) for an Open Season-themed Sony 3DTV spot!

OS3 Hits Shelves

Open Season 3 was released today on DVD and Blu-Ray! I only had a handful of cleanup shots on the film but I'm glad to have been a part of it. The discs also feature a few bonus materials, including a 3D commercial that we worked on for Sony's 3D home theater systems.
